Water Sensor for RMS Advanced

This water sensor has been specially designed for use in monitoring and alarm systems. It was designed for use with the RMS Advanced, No. 32418. The unit must be powered using a 12V DC power supply. It is 100% waterproof. It reacts to any electrically conducting liquid such as water, alcohol, refreshments, acids and various chemicals. It gives an output when it comes into contact with a conducting liquid.

Function

The entire sensor is enclosed in a sealed water proof housing. The four V4A Steel sensors located on the bottom side of the unit detect any conducting liquid present. The unit uses an alternating current to detect the liquid. This prevents the sensors from corrosion due to electrolysis. The sensor is set to digital LOW in when active.
