Extra Long Video Cables over Cat5 - High Quality 300m Cat5 VGA monitor Extension Cables
VGA Extender - CAT5/5e, 300m
The LINDY CAT5 VGA Extender is a high quality device which allows VGA signals to be transmitted distances of up to 300m.
The Extender system is made up of local transmitter and remote receiver units that are connected together by CAT5/5e twisted pair cable (not included, we recommend you use our bulk cable). The remote receiver unit connects to your distant monitor or projector, the local transmitter unit connects to the computer system's video port. In addition, the VGA signal is duplicated allowing a local monitor to be connected for convenient user operation.
Both Extender units are housed in a sturdy metal casing making them ideal for use in factories and other industrial applications.

Please note: Maximum supported distances and resolutions are dependent on both the monitor and the chipset used in the graphics card. The following example shows the maximum values from a test with a Belinea 1280 x 1024 DVI flat panel display and two different graphics cards (ATI Radeon 7000 and NVidea 5200).
As a general rule, the newer the hardware used, the longer the distance and the higher the supported resolution.
| LINDY SLD cable length | Max. resolution using a 2004 Belinea TFT (1280 x 1024 native resolution) | Max. resolution using a 2006 Dell TFT (1920 x 1200 native resolution) |
| 20m | 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz | 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz |
| 25m | 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz | 1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz |
The table below shows the typical resolutions and distances you can expect to achieve when using the various types of cable.
| Cable | Distance | Resolution |
| 50m | 2048 x 1536 | |
