Important: This product is solely for use with the MC5, MC5-IP and SC5 KVM Switches. It is not a standalone KVM Extender solution. The picture above shows front and rear views of a single unit. KVM Extenders are also available.
*Note on using CAT6 cable
CAT6 cable has a higher twist rate than CAT5/5e cabling. This means that it is less prone to noise as the higher twists help to cancel out noise in the signal pairs. But it also means that the pairs of cables are of different lengths and the three video colors, RGB, each sent down a pair of cables, will arrive at different times. This can cause a problem called color split where the three colors Red, Green and Blue appear separately on the display. Normally the red is to the left and the blue to the right. This can be solved using this product's skew compensation function which will rebalance the length of pairs and bring the video colors back in line.
