The LINDY CPU Switch Smart was designed to provide maxiumum reliability and compatibility. It includes many advanced features such as SmartBoot, mixed mice support and flexible channel switching from front panel key, 3 button PS/2 mouse or user selectable hotkey combinations. This switch also has the added benefit of the connectors being on the rear, allowing cables to run neatly behind.
If you are looking for the convenience of a desktop CPU switch, but have no requirement for all of the features found on our higher specification CPU Switch range, then the Smart is the ideal choice for less demanding installations.
- Continuous keyboard and mouse emulation on all ports ensures problem free computer bootup
- Interface powered operation - draws its power from the connected computers for maximum convenience
- Intelligent switching feature enables users to switch between all ports or just the active ports
- Supports high bandwidth monitors at resolutions up to 1900 x 1440 with an excellent video transfer characteristic - high bandwidth and low distortion
- Mixed AT & PS/2 keyboards and PS/2 & RS-232 mice supported as standard
- Supports LINDY mice, Microsoft IntelliMouse, Logitech Firstmouse+, Mouseman+ and other wheel mice
- Flash upgradeable - firmware can be upgraded by conneccting the switch to a computer's serial port and running a download program (requires additional cable)
- Can be cascaded to provide a video switching network (optional power supply required)
- Video channels support Display Data Channel (DDC1/DDC2) signaling
- Password security prevents unauthorized use
- User options stored in EEPROM memory
- Remote control module for convenient operation
- Channel switching by front panel key, keyboard hotkey or 3 button mouse
- Options port allows 2 switches to be linked (synchronized) for multiheaded video applications
- Automatically restores keyboard and mouse states when channel changed
