Important note:
As of 14th January 2009, it has been reported that the eSATA chipsets used on most currently available computer motherboards do not support volumes larger than 2TB. If connecting via eSATA, we recommend you do not use drives/volumes larger than 2TB unless you have been able to obtain updated drivers from your PC manufacturer!
It has been reported that this limitation only applies to systems connected via eSATA only, not USB. However, please be aware that the USB connection (where applicable) will offer lower performance, in terms of data transfer speed, than eSATA.
